One of the hardest things in life is letting go of the one you love. It’s those moments of sadness, fear, rage and loneliness, those moments when you choke on your own tears, when you know everything you did was in vein, when all your plans, all your dreams crumble.
You keep saying to yourself you did everything, you gave it your best, but don’t understand how it got to this moment. That moment when you realize no matter how much you try, how many things you promise yourself you’ll do for the relationship, things will never be the same.
You love each other, truly, with all your heart, but you know it can’t be or it’s not working anymore and you just can’t accept that. You can’t.
